Welcome to our Haus Sonne
which is sited on the Czech side on the brink of the National Park Bavarian Forest / Bohemian Forest in Nové Hutě (Kaltenbach). In fascinating and untouched nature you can find recreation and regeneration at every season.
Kaltenbach / Nové Hutě is the perfect starting point for the nature lover or the rambler, but also for the actice sportsmen, both in summer and winter. In winter season ski-lifts and almost endless cross-country-ski-runs are nearby to our village. Excellent cycle pathes and hiking trails invite you to nice trips into nature in the warmer season.

- bath with shower, toilet, washbowl and underfloor heating.

- a pretty and bright kitchen-/livingroom with completely equipped kitchenette, including fridge-freezer combination, dinette, comfortable chairs; SAT-TV with several international programs, CD-Cassette-Radio or a game selection
- bath with shower, toilet, washbowl and underfloor heating.
Upon request you obtain access to Internet in the entire building free of charge via WLAN/WIFI. Please remark your requirement within your reservation.
We ask you to bring allong your towels and your slippers for your own comfort.
Our house is a non-smoking-house and applicable for allergic persons as well. The fountain water is additionally activated with a Grander-wateractivator.
The enclosure is fenced and possesses several parkings. Children can explore their adventure world at the playground. The petanque-/boule-game can be played or trained on a special constructed course. Besides these activities we offer you the possibility to play table-tennis. Sited in the outskirts of the village you can enjoy the beautiful panoramic view, rest pleasurably upon the terrace or the meadow.
For the friends of barbecue we have a separate barbecue place at your disposal. Bicycles, ski or buggies can be stored in a closable shelter.
In Kaltenbach/Nové Hutě you will find several restaurants and a small store. In the restaurants you can try on good terms the tasty bohemian kitchen, perhaps also accompanied by a delicious Czech beer.
In the next town Vimperk (ca. 11 km) you will find numerous shopping-alternatives, filling stations, drugstores, banks, an ice stadium and an open air pool (indoor-pool at Strakonice cca. 35 km).
Nearby to Kaltenbach / Nove Hute you´ll find the sports-areal Zadov/Churáňov ( e.g. training base of Olympic champion Katarina Neumannová ca. 5 km). Besides all winter sports you can find all season outdoor trampolin, a climbing park between the Bohemian trees, Bowling etc. as well as horse back riding (Novy Dvur).
A C T I V I T I E S
Enjoy the sprouting nature in spring-time off the beaten track.
In summer-time you can easily relax or enjoy the pleasant weather. The landscape invites hikers, nordic walker, cyclists or sportsmen to attractive and if wanted, also to ambitious tours. Alternatively you can arrange interesting sight-seeing-tours to interesting places like Prague, Ceské Budejovice, Ceský Krumlov or Passau. (See: Links)
In autumn you can enjoy the diversity of colours in nature.
In winter-time on the spot there are cross-country-skiing and downhill-skiing at your disposal nearby to our village (no danger of avalanches!).
With children you can easily reach the downhill-skiing-station within walking distance. You can see the ski-piste already by looking out of your window. Your cross-country-skis can be fitted already at the house and you can start skiing immediately into the sweeping cross-country ski runs. Interested in sledging or bobsleigh? You will find many opportunities.
In Kaltenbach / Nove Hute you can rent all the necessary ski equipment. Upon request skiing instructors will be available for you as well.
Kaltenbach/Nove Hute is sited at ca. 80 km from Passau (Bavaria) and ca. 30 km from Phillipsreuth-German-Border at the Czech side, situated at a height of ca. 1.000 m above sea level.
